One method suggests that you first permit four days of moderate carbohydrate and then follow this with eight days of higher carb intake. Is it possible to burn fat and build muscle at the same time? Weight training encourages muscle building and it is this that will help burn fat, even when resting. This goes the same way if you are willing to have well-developed muscles. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but Mike was one of my first real bodybuilding idols.
