George Kittle makes PFF’s Week 3 NFL team of the week

It was an awful day on Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers faced the Kansas City Chiefs White Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey , because they lost what was becoming the heart and soul of the team, Jimmy Garoppolo, to an ACL tear. There was some good though: George Kittle. The tight end once again was catching balls all over the field. On the other side of the field, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was a beast as well, getting over 100 yards, but he was great for different reasons. He was a great weapon for Mahomes to throw to (including a really NICE one-handed scoop-catch of the ball). While he got his Youth Jimmy Garoppolo Jersey , Kittle was downright trucking defenders, or just taking them with him until they were literally shed off like dead skin. So how good was it? He made Pro Football Focus’ Week 3 team of the week with a grade of 92.1. Here’s what they had to say about Kittle’s performance: A fifth round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Kittle has been awful busy his first two seasons. He’s climbing up charts as one of the league’s best tight ends and is going to get even more work now that C.J. Beathard is the starting quarterback going forward. Both were teammates at Iowa and Beathard found Kittle a lot in their rookie season during the QB’s stint as the starter.Golden Nuggets: Are Colbert and Witherspoon good enough I must admit I had a warm and fuzzy feeling when I thought of our defensive secondary during the off season. While I was not convinced Jaquiski Tartt was a better strong safety than Eric Reid, I was pretty excited about the acquisition of Richard Sherman. The idea of him joining Ahkello Witherspoon and Adrian Colbert gave me the crazy idea that we were going to have a pretty solid secondary. I know both Witherspoon and Colbert have been banged up but I must admit I am pretty disappointed in them so far this season. Now we are getting articles about the possibility of them being replaced by guys like Greg Mabin and D J Reed. While I like both Reed and Mabin, I was hoping Witherspoon and Colbert could be part of something special. Perhaps they still can but unfortunately they just don’t look like the same players we saw at the end of last season.Maybe we blame it on the coaching? While I am not as quick as some to start passing around the blame, perhaps there are some things that Robert Saleh and Jeff Hafley could do to help make them more effective? Anyone have any ideas on this? Now onto the hot links:Garoppolo surgery ‘was a good repair , they’re very optimistic’Cam Inman49ers linebacking corps of the future emergingBrad AlmquistQuestions in the secondary abound ahead of Cardinals gameChris BidermanMike McGlinchey expects to play vs. CardinalsKyle MadsonJohn Lynch says Joe Staley will try to practice on FridayDavid BonillaRichard Sherman, Mike McGlinchey, and Weston Richburg return to practiceDavid BonillaWhy George Kittle and C.J.
