Dig Site Distribution

There is a great post by Simca on MMO’s forums compiling data from Archaeology’s dig sites to find out which continents are the best to farm fragments of a specific race. The original data is mostly from Wowpedia’s list of Dig Sites (and a lot of work in-game to make sure it works as intended).

The poster made an excellent table by using various tools and resources (Wowpedia + Excel spreadsheet + If statements). So for those of who you love numbers, here ya go.

Read more details from the post here or our new Race Distribution page.

Rumor has it that the Vag’hair(sp) digsites are gone. Does that mess up your tables?

    • Uriah says:

I’m still having Vashjir dig sites show for me.

      • Casey says:

Really? I haven’t had any in 2 days; and that’s with 4 hours a day of constant digging. I know, but dammit, it’s gone beyond a ‘casual’ secondary profession now.

    • Suicidal Zebra says:

I’m also not getting any more Vashj’ir Digsites right now. Not that I’m complaining, now up to 100% for NE Artefacts and love the higher Dwarf and Troll tallies. Reached 16 Rare projects completed now.

      Still no Zin’Rokh though 🙁

Number of ‘left over’ fossil fragments is getting silly now. I may suggest to my guildies that they hold off on solving ANYTHING except Fossil projects until they hit 450 skill. Sure, it’ll take longer, but it would probably maximise the number of ‘useful’ rare project opportunities.
